Camp Woodward Season 3 Cast

What do you feel the differences are between riding at Woodward and riding in your hometown of Toms River, NJ?
Woodward is a good learning place and a super fun time. All my friends go in the summer but I think being back home in the winter is good because I like hanging out with friends back home and family. School's not a benefit of being home though.

Will you be going back to Woodward next summer?
Absolutely, I'll be there every summer unless I can't physically go, or I'm not allowed. It's the best place ever.

What do your parents think about Woodward and your riding?  Are they supportive?
They like it. They partly enjoy the peace and quiet in the house. But yeah, they are super supportive, we recently got a backyard ramp and they take me to all the contests I like going to.

Is there anything else you'd like to say about Camp Woodward
Yeah, everyone should go. See you next summer!

ZANE TIMPSON - SKATEBOARDING
How long did you spend at Woodward this summer?
I spent a fortnight (editor's note: two weeks) at Woodward this summer.

What was it like filming for Camp Woodward?
It was definitely a new experience. I had done some filming before, but on a
much smaller scale. It was stressful at times, but it was definitely worth
it. I received some much needed advice from last year's camper Larry Schmidt,
and it was just to be yourself, don't be something you're not, if you're not
an angel child all the time, then don't try to be one on the show. Those
aren't the exact words, but that's kind of the gist of it. It really helped.

You attended the video camp this summer, how did you like that?
The video camp was so fun. It was a learning experience; I
learned a lot about editing, and also in the field techniques for filming.
It was really cool learning from Dave Metty because he's such a character
and a good dude.

What do you like more, just skating, or filming and editing?
I don't know, skating is my passion, but filming and editing just is
different. It's kind of comparing apples and oranges.

Are you going back to Woodward next summer?
Hopefully, but you never know what could happen.

What do you parents think about Woodward, your skating, and your video
making? Are they supportive?

From what I've told my parents, I think they think Woodward is my heaven. But my parents couldn't be more supportive of my skating and my filming. My parents take me to the contests, and they help me with buying the equipment. Once again, they couldn't be more supportive, so awesome!

Is there anything else you'd like to say about Camp Woodward?
I just want to say, if you love skating as much as I do, or as much as I
love making videos, Woodward is completely, absipositivilutely the place for
you!

JOVON VEST - SKATEBOARDING
How long did you spend at Woodward this summer?
Two weeks.

What was it like filming for Camp Woodward?

It was a lot of fun, good times.

How much did going to Woodward help your skating this summer?
A lot. i have a new bag of tricks now.

How would you describe yourself as a person and as a skater?
I'm not like any one you'll ever meet. I stand out. As a skater, I just keep my mind on my board and land right.

What do you feel are the differences and similarities between skating at Woodward and skating in your hometowns of Brooklyn, NY and Germantown, MD?
There's a lot of differences for one. Woodward is the best place in the world. There's like 30 parks at Woodward. There's like three I go to in Germantown, MD. As far as similarities go, they all have some big ramps.

Will you be going back to Woodward next summer?
Hells yeah.
What do your parents think about Woodward and your skating?  Are they supportive?
My mom and dad love that i can go to a nice and safe camp.  They support me so much

Is there anything else you'd like to say about Camp Woodward?

if you can save up for one week at Woodward, do it! I work full time and if i can just get one week in at Woodward it will make my life a lot better.
