Each new Fable brings fresh ideas and new mechanics to the table.
Fable III is no exception -- but one in particular might just get
you "super pissed."
During the presentation for the upcoming title at Microsoft's
media-only X10 event, the Lionhead boss revealed that
it won't have a health bar, or indicators like flashes,
darkening of the screen, or crimson blood spatters.
A strange move considering that combat still appears
to be a main point of interaction.
Molyneux didn't delve into details about what happens
if you do manage to take "damage." We're thinking his
scarring system will go into full effect in this latest --
if you get roughed up, you'll look all the worse for it.
But that's just a guess. Feel free to express your horrible,
angry thoughts in the comments section below.

...it does. Just a little bit, though.
This is especially true since the folks interested
in the idea - Vicious Cycle - are the very ones
who made the previous Robotech titles
(Battlecry, Invasion), as well as the Matt Hazard
games, all of which are middling at best.
Vicious Cycle CEO Eric Peterson noted that:
either Macross fans aching for a game (any game)
or those who just didn't know that Robotech
(the best parts of it) are actually Macross.
That's probably not true, though.
To be perfectly honest, I can't hold it against them.
Macross never really "made it" as much as
Robotechdid, even when its viewers knew better
(eventually). I've more or less resigned myself
to the idea that we'll never see as much of Macross
on American shores as I will want.
If Vicious Cycle can deliver a Robotech game
(presumably based on the Macross-ripped portions)
that's at least as good as the age-old SDF Macross
PS2 or the Ace Frontier PSP titles (the latter of which
are hobbled by their choice of platform), I'll play it.
Hell, I'll probably even enjoy it, as I really did like
Robotech way back when. My sole requirement is
that they can do a mission as or more epic than the
one you can see footage of below.
In the meantime, watch the original on Hulu.
Maybe - just maybe - the traffic will convince them
to move some Macross Frontier our way.
After all, I had also resigned myself to never seeing
a Sakura Wars game cross the pond. There's still hope

GameStop has added an additional item for those
that pre-order God of War III from them. On top
of the awesome "Phantom of Chaos" character
skin, you'll also be getting an exclusive
God of War III poster. The poster depicts Kratos
in front of Mount Olympus and is signed by
Andy Park, God of War III's concept artist.
Now then, the only question is which pre-order
poster is better? GameStop's or 7-Eleven's?
Be sure to check out our preview for God of War III
and check back tonight as GameTrailers is going
to have some "super amazing OMG" new
God of War III trailer.

One of the many things that I found delightful about
Left 4 Dead 2 was its use of daytime levels.
It's not something you see done frequently
when it comes to zombies, videogames or otherwise.
That said, seeing these dark and damp
screenshots of the upcoming add-on
"The Passing" has me excited for the return
to form -- including the appearance of our
friends from the original Left 4 Dead. As for
the new poster, I dig it ... I think?
The characters look kind of off, but otherwise
I'm all for it. Also, we've cropped out the
fantastic name of the shop behind the survivors.
Make sure to seek it out in the gallery!

They've done it. They finally cracked our
secret code. Four screenshots of your game?
Exactly enough to warrant a post. Anything
less, not so much -- unless it's a reveal, in
which case a single picture is plenty to go on.
Curse you, Splash Damage!
In these four new shots for Brink, we get yet
another look at the crazy variety of clothing
options we'll have access to later this year.
Just because it's a first-person shooter that
doesn't mean you get to skimp out on the
outfits. I think they have their bases covered
, and then some.
How 'bout we get to see some of the other
in-game locations? Pretty please?

Earlier we told you a bit about Dead Rising 2's
downloadable content, called Dead Rising:
CASE ZERO. This playable prologue ties
together the two games. We have a bit of
new information on it, but one of the key
points is that it is exclusive to Xbox 360.
Nothing is planed for the PS3 yet, says producer
Shinsaku Ohara. Yeah, so there's that.
On CASE ZERO: Dead Rising 2 takes place
5 years after the first game, but the DLC takes
place in the middle, some two years after
the the original. Chuck heads from Las Vegas
to Fortune City, and the story that takes place
around this fills in the details between the
two games. So far they haven't talked about
any cameos from characters from the first
game, but they say that they're not opposed to it either.
What's really cool is that each area is
packing in 1,200 zombies. We were told that
the game could do more, but that's what
they're pushing now. Yikes.
