Spectral Force Genesis: Screens and box art
The last Spectral Force named game I played was...not that great. Sorry. I have higher hopes for this title,Spectral Force Genesis, coming to the DS by way of Ignition this spring. This one is different, though. Idea Factory has mixed a combination of war sim and strategy RPG. You'll oversee diplomacy, war tactics and even taxes on one side, but you'll also find yourself right in the heat of battle, controlling SRPG game play as well. I'm really interested on the scribble screen-style battle system, which has you drawing pathlines for attacks. I look forward to playing this soon.
Videogame 'fans' need to shut up about everything
Console fanboys, (those amazing creatures who have been born with the sole purpose of ruining the Internet for real people) is perhaps a worse kind of fanboy out there, something more malevolent, more subtle, and altogether more damaging than your average Sony loyalist or Microsoft defender. I am of course talking of the franchise fanboy.
There are certain games that have earned themselves a hardcore following. It was the recent revelation ofSonic the Hedgehog 4 and the stream of criticism it received that really got me thinking about this. These people call themselves fan, and we are all happy to go along with it, but when they reveal themselves to be perpetually unsatisfied, prone to complaints over the tiniest details, and outright spiteful, I think they need a new name.
Instead of fans, I declare that they should be known as people who need to shut the f*ck up about everything.
In North America, the deliciously hilarious Deadly Premonition is an Xbox 360 exclusive. However, that's no reason for PS3 loyalists to miss out on all the hands-stuffed-in-mouth fun. The Japanese version of the game is available for both 360 and PS3. It's called Red Seeds Profile out there and the best part is that it's in English!
The game will be compatible with WiiSpeak, and there will also be a demo coming. The demo won't will only be obtainable from GameStop however, on an exclusive disc that the US retailer will be offering from March 8. If you never want to step foot inside a GameStop, don't worry. The full game, with a Classic Controller bundle, will be released in North America on April 20!

Sega & Sonic All-Star Racing to get DLC
Sega & Sonic All-Star Racing is out in stores this week and it’s packed full of Sega characters. Most of the characters are ones we haven’t seen in games in years now and while it’s great seeing characters from Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5, Shenmue and more again after so long, it also kind of feels like a slap to the face. Here are some beloved Sega characters thrown into a racing title but there’s still no word on a sequel to some of these popular Sega IPs.
