I notice a lot of skateboard art (lately in my opinion) had nothing to do with the actual skateboard's on the design. I felt like not enough soul is being put into the art. This inspired me to create my own line of skate board art.
The character ripping the pool is the likeness of my nephew Gyll Guillaume. I wanted to show that speed played a huge factor in this piece, so I decided to make a trail of fire following him. The blue part of the fire represents Gyll hitting the cooping of the pool making it change color. The graffiti insignia you see in the pool is the letter 'C' from the ZODCORE logo.
Gyll himself has a sharp focal length, while the background is UN-focused, giving it that far away look.The two kids in the background are flabbergasted (and they should be) at the front side air Gyll is doing in the pool. If you stare long enough, you can notice the kid in the background jumping in the air ripped the bottom of his pants from all the excitement. On a perfect afternoon the Sun comes out to help bless such an occasion by lending the proper lighting, followed by an awesome smile(your gonna see a lot more of that character) that anyone can be proud of.
