Assassination Day

It is a dark and cold night. The steadiness of the wind speaks of ultra violence in the air. Violence that can only be done in secrecy.  A cold hearted human who has lost all humanity because of the power that was bestowed to her by The Taskmasters. On this night she has decided to pay a visit to her old master.

Deep in the Mountains of Honk Kong, there is a hidden Monastery where a group of Monks and nuns reside.  The peaceful tribe lived a very secluded life where training the mind and body was their main focus. One day, a 14 year old girl stumbled (or somehow found her way) into their life. They took her in as their own, trained her of there way’s.  She became the most highly skilled fighter of the tribe, excelling even beyond all the masters of the village.  At 18 years old she willingly leaves the tribe to seek new adventures. One day, a man by the name of Kory Kane convinced her into destroying her past by eliminating  her former masters. After killing countless teachers of her younger years, she is convinced that she is now a master of masters.

Because of the brutality I wanted to create a very grim and dark ambiance. But at the same time I wanted some cool lighting effects.  In the foreground is Assassin. She has a disturbing smile on her face after killing someone she trained with.  I had the pillars create a small light to see the road. In addition to the lighting I carefully put some fireflies in the back and foreground. In the background is a monk running towards Sin to try to avenge his former master who was just beheaded. The Taskmasters was written by Lisa Ford and art work by yours truly, Kevin Guillaume

Here it is in Black and White :)

This took a bit of time to finish, but the end results were what I was looking for. Hope everyone enjoyed this art piece as much I as I enjoyed creating it.

REMEMBER ZEDHEADS
SKETCH IT. INK IT. DRAW IT.
